Cyber Project Manager (Cyber Security Programme)

Location: London (Hybrid / Onsite when required)

Contract: 8 Weeks

Working Pattern: 3 to 4 Days Per Week

Day Rate: Dependant on experience

SNG is supporting a specialist security consultancy delivering a cyber security assessment and red team engagement for a financial services client. The engagement will run across late March through June 2026 and requires an experienced Cyber Project Manager to coordinate the programme and act as the operational lead across the assessment and red team phases. This role sits at the centre of the engagement, ensuring coordination between the security assessment team, offensive security specialists and senior client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Engagement Management

• Coordinate all phases of the cyber security assessment and red team exercise

• Manage the engagement timeline, deliverables and milestones

• Ensure all teams remain aligned to the agreed scope

• Maintain the engagement risk register

Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as the operational liaison with client leadership and technical teams

• Coordinate interviews, documentation requests and evidence collection

• Ensure all project documentation is maintained and structured

Reporting & Documentation

• Consolidate findings from technical teams

• Structure outputs for executive level reporting

• Manage document version control

• Support preparation of the final executive briefing

Red Team Coordination

• Ensure Rules of Engagement are agreed and approved

• Coordinate scenario planning between assessment teams and red team

• Monitor safety controls and business impact protections

Governance

• Ensure the engagement aligns with recognised frameworks including

NIST Cybersecurity Framework

ISO 27001

CIS Critical Security Controls

Required Experience

• 10+ years experience in IT or Cyber Programme Management

• Experience delivering cyber security transformation or security assessments

• Experience managing multi team security engagements or penetration testing programmes

• Strong executive stakeholder management

Preferred Background

• Cyber security consulting firms

• Big 4 cyber security practices

• Financial services technology programmes

• Critical infrastructure programmes

Certifications Preferred

CISSP

CISM

PMP or PRINCE2

ISO 27001 Lead Implementer

Security Clearance or BS7858 vetting beneficial.
