We’re working with a UK based cyber security business supporting organisations to strengthen their cyber security posture through practical, real world services rather than compliance led box ticking.

The company is founder led, technically credible, and scaling through partnerships, referrals, and targeted outbound activity. They are now looking to bring in a Sales Development Representative to support pipeline generation and outbound engagement.

This is not a scripted call centre position. It is an outbound focused role that requires resilience, consistency, and comfort operating in a performance led environment.

You’ll be engaging businesses that already have some level of cyber exposure, awareness, or existing data, this is not purely random cold outreach. The role centres on qualifying opportunities and booking meaningful conversations, not hard closing deals.

You don’t need to be deeply technical, but you must be comfortable discussing IT, cyber security, and business risk at a high level, and be able to learn quickly. Training, messaging support, and clear qualification criteria are in place.

This role will suit someone who enjoys autonomy, outbound sales, and owning their own performance.

The Role

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be responsible for generating and qualifying new business opportunities across a defined outbound remit.

Key responsibilities include:

• Prospecting via LinkedIn and email as primary outreach channels

• Making outbound calls where appropriate

• Working a mix of provided leads and self-generated outreach

• Engaging decision makers and senior stakeholders

• Qualifying prospects and identifying genuine business needs

• Booking qualified meetings for a senior commercial stakeholder

• Accurately logging activity and outcomes

You’ll work closely with a senior commercial lead to refine messaging, targeting, and qualification criteria as the business continues to scale.

To be considered, applicants should:

• Have previous experience in outbound sales (SDR, BDR, appointment setting, or similar)

• Be comfortable prospecting via LinkedIn, email, and phone

• Communicate confidently with businesses and decision makers

• Be resilient, self motivated, and target driven

• Have an interest in cyber security or IT led sales environments

• Be UK-based (essential due to the nature of the work)

Location within the Midlands is advantageous but not essential. Remote working is supported, with optional office attendance.

This is a performance led, commission only role.

• Commission paid on successfully closed business

• Typical deal values range from £2,000 to £20,000

• Larger enterprise-level opportunities may sit above this range

• Uncapped earning potential

This role is best suited to individuals who are comfortable with variable income linked directly to performance.
